Embracing new seasons with faith, courage, and open hands
While diving for the second time, something profound happened in my heart.
As I was underwater—surrounded by fish of every color and shape, witnessing a kind of beauty I had never seen before—I realized I was exploring a completely new world. A place filled with treasures that could only be discovered if I was willing to dive in.
In that moment, I felt God speaking to me about life.
So often, we’re afraid to step into new seasons.
We fear change.
We fear aging.
We fear the unknown.
Moving from our 40s into our 50s.
From our 50s into our 60s.
Facing an empty nest.
Moving to a new city.
Not knowing what comes next.
And for younger women, new seasons can feel just as overwhelming—starting college, moving out for the first time, beginning a new job, or stepping into independence.
Fear doesn’t mean we’re doing something wrong.
Often, it simply means we’re standing at the edge of something new.
What diving taught me is this:
if we never step into the new, we’ll never see the wonders God has prepared for us in each season.
Every stage of life carries its own treasures.
Its own beauty.
Its own surprises.
But those treasures aren’t always obvious.
They require new eyes.
An open heart.
A willingness to trust.
Don’t fear change.
Don’t fear the passing of time.
There is beauty waiting for you in what’s ahead.
God is not finished with you.
He’s simply inviting you into a new chapter.
Open your eyes.
Open your heart.
Dive in.
Because this season, too, is filled with treasures.
At Rise Up, we believe every season of life holds purpose, beauty, and strength—even the ones that feel unfamiliar.
Growth doesn’t stop.
It simply changes form.
Our heart is to encourage women to step forward with faith, courage, and hope—trusting that what God has ahead is just as meaningful as what’s behind.
